An Elton John pop-up store in Soho, London, opened in May 2023. It showcased the original stage outfits created by Bob Mackie, Gianni Versace, Annie Reavey, and Yohji Yamamoto, worn by Elton John during his 1973, 1986, 1992, and early 2000s concerts. The iconic Donald Duck outfit that Elton wore for only two songs at one show during the concert in Central Park on September 13, 1980, was displayed for the first time outside of New York City. In the past, Sir Elton John and David Furnish held a pop-up store called 'Out The Closet' in 2002, which raised £400,000 for their AIDS Foundation by selling 15,000 items of clothing and accessories from their wardrobe. Another pop-up store was visited by shoppers like Elle Macpherson, Natalie Imbruglia, and Elizabeth Hurley on December 11, 2009.
