The LVIII Super Bowl occurred at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Chiefs defeated the 49ers in overtime with a score of 25 to 22, earning their second consecutive championship after the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023. The teams met in 2020 when Kansas City won for the first time in half a century. The 49ers' most recent winning year was 1995.  Reba McEntire performed the national anthem, while Post Malone delivered his rendition of 'America the Beautiful.' Usher headlined the halftime show, with special appearances by Alicia Keys, HER, Lil Jon, and Ludacris.

A 30-second ad was reportedly priced at $7 million, with top advertisers including Hulu Live. It featured Tom Brady, who also appeared in a Dunkin' Donuts commercial with Bostonians Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and J.Lo. The celebratory Kansas City parade was marked by a shooting that left one person dead and at least 21 with gunshot wounds.

This year's football season highlighted the relationship between Taylor Swift and Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce. The pop star brought a new fanbase to the sport, generating an additional $331.5 million in brand value for the Chiefs and the NFL.
