The Super Bowl V unfolded on January 17, 1971, at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. The game between the Baltimore Colts and the Dallas Cowboys concluded with a final score of 16-13 for the Colts. The title of MVP was awarded to Cowboys' linebacker Chuck Howley. Tommy Loy, a trumpeter, delivered the rendition of the National Anthem, and The Half-Time Show featured the Southeast Missouri State College Marching Golden Eagles Band with Anita Bryant. NBC broadcast of the game drew more than 46 million viewers. Plymouth, Oppenheimer Fund, STP, Persona 74, Noxzema, H&R Block, and Goodyear commercials cost up to $72,000 for a 30-second spot.
