Costume Designer and illustrator Bob Mackie began designing costumes for Elton John in 1973 and continued for many years. For John's farewell concert at Dodgers Stadium, they partnered up once again to revive the look of the singer's first performance at the stadium. Mackie told Vogue Magazine that the original hat had been lost, and he had to 'depend on memory and photos.' For the update of the Dodgers uniform, John collaborated with Gucci, who created a sequined robe in the Dodger's signature silver and blue. A sketch of Elton John in a jeweled feathered hat and beaded jumpsuit circa 1975, signed in marker by the designer, was auctioned off and sold by Julien's Auctions for U$1600.
