In 1998, as part of the 'Paramount Pictures Audrey Hepburn Collection,'Â Mattel, headed by the VP of Barbie Product Design, Â Robert Best, released a Classic Edition Barbie doll in the likeness of the character Holly Golightly from the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany's.
The film is a romantic comedy based on 1958 Truman Capote's best-selling novella, set in New York City, where Holly scours Manhattan for a suitable millionaire to marry.Â
Two other Hepburn characters, Sabrina Fairchild from 'Sabrina' and Princess Ann from 'Roman Holiday,' were added to the same collection in 2013, while three dolls inspired by the movie 'My Fair Lady' became part of the 'Hollywood Legends Collection,' which also includes Marylin Monroe and other movie stars.
